THE VALUE OF WELL-KEPT RECORDS

Financial clarity starts
with the detail.

Bookkeeping is not simply about capturing transactions. Reliable source records, reconciled balances and a disciplined month-end process create information you can actually use.

MATTLY supports South African small and owner-managed businesses that want their books organised without adding another full-time role to the office.

01Organisation

Keep source records, transactions and open queries in a workable monthly rhythm.

02Visibility

Know what reconciles, what remains outstanding and what still needs an answer.

03Decision support

Move from raw records toward month-end information that gives useful context.

FOUR WAYS MATTLY CAN HELP

Get the detail right.
Then see the bigger picture.

Choose one priority or build an ongoing monthly support cycle. The scope, responsibilities and outputs are agreed before work starts.

BOOKKEEPING & RECONCILIATIONS

Get the detail right.

Organise transactions and supporting documents, maintain the agreed bookkeeping records and reconcile accounts so differences are identified rather than carried forward unnoticed.

OutcomeA cleaner monthly starting point with unresolved items visible.

DEBTORS & CREDITORS LEDGER SUPPORT

Know what is still outstanding.

MATTLY maintains agreed customer and supplier ledger records, allocations, reconciliations and ageing information so the balances requiring your attention are easier to see.

Your commercial relationships remain yours. MATTLY does not chase customers, collect debts, approve or make supplier payments, place orders, manage purchasing or run physical stock operations.

REPORTING & FINANCE SUPPORT

See the bigger picture.

Bring month-end reporting, agreed budget comparisons, cash-flow information and variance questions into one practical view so the figures have context.

CATCH-UP BOOKKEEPING

Behind on the books?

Start from the last reliable position. Identify missing records, establish the periods involved and work forward in a controlled sequence rather than guessing at opening balances.

ApproachAssess → agree the scope → rebuild the reliable position.

SOUTH AFRICAN BY ROOTS · REMOTE BY DESIGN

Local roots.
Remote reach.

Your bookkeeper does not need to sit in your office for the work to be organised properly.

Documents, records, queries and reporting information can move through an agreed remote workflow. You retain control of your business decisions and approvals; MATTLY handles the bookkeeping and finance-support work within the scope you approve.

FINANCIAL INSIGHT / ILLUSTRATIVE

Numbers become useful
when they have context.

A month-end report should help you see movement, ask the right questions and separate a supported conclusion from an assumption.

These simplified figures demonstrate the type of monthly comparison MATTLY can help organise. They are not client results, a live dashboard or a performance promise.

MEET EDWARD

14+ years of practical finance experience.

My finance career started in 2012. Since then, my work has grown from hands-on financial administration and bookkeeping into management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and broader operational finance.

I work across the detail and the bigger picture: reconciliations, debtors, creditors, banking, month-end, cash-flow monitoring, revenue and expense analysis, variance investigation, payroll administration, controls and reporting.

Through MATTLY, you deal directly with me. The aim is practical: keep the records reliable, make open items visible and give you financial information that is easier to work with.
