A CONTROLLED START

Six steps from enquiry
to a workable routine.

The process is designed to keep scope, records and responsibility visible. Nothing is treated as complete simply because a deadline arrives.

  1. 01

    Describe your priority

Start with the business, support required, periods involved and the condition of the records. Mention deadlines or known problems without sending confidential files through the public enquiry.

  2. 02

    Establish what is available

Identify relevant systems, source documents, last completed periods and known gaps before the scope is finalised.

  3. 03

    Agree the engagement

Confirm tasks, accounts or periods, outputs, responsibilities, fees, timeframes, exclusions and how changes will be handled.

  4. 04

    Arrange controlled access

Agree document sharing and system permissions. Where separate users or permission levels are available, use them rather than sharing a main password.

  5. 05

    Work through records & queries

MATTLY works from the agreed source records, prepares the relevant workings and keeps missing information or differences visible for resolution.

  6. 06

    Review the outputs

Review the agreed records, schedules or reports, confirm unresolved matters and set the next actions or recurring cycle.

BOOKKEEPING WORKSPACE

Your bookkeeping handled.
Your business stays in control.

MATTLY manages the working environment used to maintain the agreed bookkeeping records, with each client’s information kept separate from other client records.

You do not need to learn or operate accounting software as part of the normal outsourced bookkeeping service. We agree how source documents are provided, how queries are resolved and which reports or schedules are returned to you.

If you already have an accounting setup that must be retained, or you need direct access, integrations or a migration, raise that during scoping. Opening balances and migrated information must be checked before they are treated as the starting position.

FOR RECURRING SUPPORT

A monthly rhythm, not a mystery hand-off.

  1. 1Document cut-off and records received
  2. 2Processing and reconciliations
  3. 3Queries and missing information
  4. 4Agreed reports and schedules
  5. 5Review and next actions

Changes in transaction volume, systems or business activity are discussed early so the routine remains practical.

01

REMOTE WORKING & CONFIDENTIALITY

Share records through an agreed channel.

The public website form prepares an enquiry brief; it is not a secure document-upload service. Engagement-specific access and sharing arrangements are agreed separately.

02

WHEN INFORMATION IS DELAYED

Keep the effect visible.

Missing documents, delayed responses or additional periods can affect the work and delivery dates. Priorities, scope and revised timeframes are agreed rather than assumed.

03

AT HANDOVER

Close with a clear position.

Agree completed outputs, unresolved items, handover arrangements and the treatment of access and retained records at the end of the engagement.

LET’S AGREE THE RIGHT SUPPORT

Start with what needs attention.

Tell Edward about your priority, the periods involved and the current condition of your records. Keep confidential documents out of the initial enquiry.
